Light or no light, red or white

The article is plucked straight out of my mind, especially the point on clanking of metal. The article didn’t mention if deer are easily offender or not but if they can hear the string of profanities I put together when I trip down the creek bank or take the wrong turn through the thick briars...

Am I a jerk? (Read before voting)

Maybe a small twist as we get further off topic but I would dare to bet if this father son team saw a big deer area and began activity hunting it, helped dad put up stands, help dad decide where what when why etc. he would be more than happy and proud to let his son shoot the deer. I can only...

Great rules Teaching management and patients And rule 2 teaches him to be excited for other hunters success and in this case his Dad! Something some of us forget about. As long as you can keep him entertained and excited you are winning. No more millennials

Light or no light, red or white

Want some thoughts on something I, and I assume others, have rolled around with. As it pertains mostly to the whitetail woods but we will say mammal hunting in general. What does more “harm” the use of a bright white light or the extra noise you make going in without it or setting up without...

Reality of horse back moose hunt

Good info on the float hunts I appreciate it. Could not agree more on the second half, I enjoyed the hands on aspect and the absolute beauty of it all. And not to be that guy but seeing moose on your moose hunt would be nice. As hunters we are paying $20-30 US THOUSAND dollars for the "hunt"...

Reality of horse back moose hunt

I did enjoy the adventure and the beautiful horseback rides. I hunted from September 24 to October 5. Temperatures were in the teens at night and mid 20s to low 30s during the day with blowing snow and wind. Certainly would have been nice to see more moose or have an opportunity but I do...

Reality of horse back moose hunt

I appreciate the contact Larry, as you well know firsthand experience is critical when trying to find the right guide. Pulling one out of a hat is certainly a crap shoot, even when you do your due diligence, especially when your paying a fair amount of money for the experience.

Reality of horse back moose hunt

I am curious to get the opinion of others who have been on horseback Moose hunts. I recently returned from a hunt in northern British Columbia where I was unsuccessful in killing a moose however I did shoot a nice Mountain Caribou. The horseback hunt for Mohs was rather disappointing for me in...
