Well today I was finally able to harvest my first antelope. I told myself I would be happy with any buck and was not looking for a trophy. Very happy with this feller here.
Unfortunately the shot could have been better. I placed the shot right behind the shoulder but he was quartering towards...
Swear to God I think I saw that first buck there this morning. Area 73. I recognize those kinda s curve horns. Probably not the same but its funny how similar they look.
Casper native here. I hunted pretty hard today for the morning and most of the afternoon. Only saw a couple bucks. Pretty...
I've only started putting my system together and will probably end up mixing and matching some stuff. But as far as camo I am going to go with Kryptek. I have the valhalla pant, sonora hooded shirt, and dalibor jacket. Love each piece so far. The valhalla and sonora are pajama level comfortable...
I realize this is kinda apples to oranges but bear with me. I had pretty much made my mind up on the Mountainsmith Mountain Shelter and adding a stove jack. Then Argali came out with the Rincon which already has a stove jack for just a little more $. So now I'm torn. How much room would I be...
Ya I should have mentioned what time of year it was. Slipped my mind. It was mid October. I actually was sitting on a ridgeline glassing for mule deer and saw him. It's kinda hard to see but he's right there in the shade of that big pine in the center. I had to hold my phone up to my binos to...
Last year mule deer hunting I got pictures of two big bulls. I live close by so this year I applied for a type 1 elk tag for the area, my first time applying, and actually got it! I plan on doing plenty of scouting out there over the summer and hunting all season if I have to. I'm a new hunter...
I drew both type 1 elk and antelope resident tags. 19 and 73 respectively. This was my first time applying for the draw and I feel super lucky to have got both that I wanted. Can't wait to take my boys antelope hunting.
Ya it's definitely more about just getting out in the spring and gaining the experience. Of course a successful hunt would be awesome but I would get just as much satisfaction out of the journey.
Hey all,
I was hoping I could get some pointers on wyoming spring bear hunting. Firstly I am a very new hunter. Getting into later in life (32) since I didn't grow up doing it. Is spring bear doable for a newbie or am I biting off more than I can chew? I am looking at unit 7 in the medicine bow...
I'm looking at planning this year's hunts and am wondering if anyone has more info on Wyoming's super tags and super tags trifecta. I am a resident but am very new to hunting. What is the advantages to super tags? Apart from the waiting period waivers and waivers for bison and mountain goat of...
That's what I was reading, was that it tended to be warmer than the Cadog line. I tend to run pretty warm and usually wear less than other people do. Worried the Njord would be too warm for active hunts.
