Thanks for the information and after shooting both a bit each day I’ve settled on the slightly heavier arrow. Now, which of these broadheads would you pick? Both are 125 grain Magnus stinger buzzcuts but one is a straight 2 blade and the other has 2 additional bleeder blades. These are my...
My new custom bow is 46# @ 28" and I draw 29.5". It shoots both of the following arrow setups well and I really only chase whitetail at the moment. Which would you pick?
500 spine full length Black Eagle Vintage, aluminum insert, 125 grain head for a total weight of 470 grains
500 spine full...
May I ask what kind of draw weights and lengths people are using to push these 3 blades through animals? I constantly read about a sharp 2 blade head for traditional archery and this is counter to that. I'm all about doing what you want for yourself so I'm just curious what people are shooting...
I don't use Facebook but there is a Bob Lee Fan Club page that sells Bob Lee bows and parts. It used to be open to the public but has gone private in the last year or so. I would check there if you are a Facebook user.
It is not in my hands yet but I was just informed by Mike that my new Sauk Trail bow is complete. Here are the basic details and I'll get more up when I finally get it and shoot it a bit.
2 piece Dryden XR recurve. Olive wood and Treebark riser with G10, and O/D green Mappa burl veneers over...
Reviving this old thread but for good reason. Just got word that my 60" Dryden XR will be the next bow out of the shop. I ordered it 45# @ 28 and it will be a takedown model with a bow bolt. Here it is currently.
Just curious why no Glock 20, 29 or 40 on the list? Solid reliable designs that have been around a while. Maybe the grip is not right for you? Just curious and I own all 3 models and other 10mm’s as well. Great round and the 20 is my favorite for woods carry but 40mos for hunting.
Here is my 52" Kenu. It shoots great and is definitely easy to carry around the woods.
On the website you have to hover over "bow models" and the options appear. Also, the Sauk Trail Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/sauktrailarchery/) is a good thing to look at to see his current work.
I bought some W&W competition limbs for my ILF riser and got back to hunting with my Bob Lee Hardcore and Sauk Trail Custom Kenu. My next Sauk Trail custom recurve should be started in the next week or two. Mike is just waiting on a particular material he's looking to use in it. It will be a...
Just jumping in here but I've been following along. I think bow length is a personal thing. I have 52", 60" and 62" bows. I draw 29.5" and have bows ranging from 42lbs@28 to 49lbs@28. I very much prefer my 52" and 60" bow. The 62" to me changes the string angle just enough to clip my nose when I...
Definitely interested in hearing about a 44" bow and how it shoots. I have a Sauk Trail Kenu which is 41@28" and 52". It requires solid form and follow through. Mastering a 44" bow at 60# seems intense. Keep us updated please.
For sale is a Nikon 5-20x44SF M BDC scope. Amazing shape and very low round count. Had it on an AR10 when I was younger and been a safe queen since. Comes with everything you see here for 350$ shipped. Or 275$ without the Leupold mount. If you have questions or concerns please feel free to reach...
