They are amazing rifles. My 30-06 FC is currently being rebarrel/chambered to a 35 whelen but I have 3 other FC chamberings as well. All as accurate as the other and carry great
They only came in factory 24” barrel in that caliber unless it’s been cut/recrowned by a smith. Just wanted to put that out there so someone doesn’t grab it thinking it’s 21” like ad says
Look at the weatherby mark v Camilla ultra light. It’s light and already threaded. It’s got a higher cheek swell, slightly shorter lop, and slightly thinner it’s made for women and youth shooter. It is a 1:10 twist but you could always shoot it never know the twist and barrel might like what...

Correct Wilson went their own way. Not fully bedded, uses ag composite stock instead of Melvin’s design, and uses their own in house barrel instead of a Douglas.
The weight loss of the FFT is very noticeable however it is a slicker finish on it compared to the original Mesa. So really it’s up to preference. Stock can always be painted for grip but it’s hard to lighten it up as much as the FFT stock gives you. I went with the FFT and added texture
