475 grains isn't too heavy at all..I think its just right, but I am not a proponant of heavy arrow set ups in compound bows. If your shooting Cape or Water buffalo, sure, but an elk is not a Buffalo. I shot an American Buffalo a few years back and had two pass thrus with 100 grain Kudu Points...
Thats kind of where I am at with it....I have a busy schedule and don't get to practice enough to stay consistent, even shooting 3x's a week. Then when I do get into the field, my range is so limited, the set up's have to be perfect due to the nature of the weapon and the yardage has to be very...
Got really into the trad bow thing a few years ago. Had some success but quite a bit of frustration. Can't seem to get ( for me ) consistent with it. Some days I shoot great, others I shook ok, then others I just shoot like arse.
Haven't shot my compound since last March, save for 1 shot in...
There was a meat market/processing facility in New Foundland that packaged and shipped it to a USDA facility in Tulsa, where it was Fedexed to our area.
Hunted in NF in early October. We heard from the guides and locals that moose numbers were way down, they blamed the Fish & Wildlife for putting out too many tags in the area. I've not moose hunted before, but we did not see all that many moose. Had some days we didn't see one, others were we...

Wow, came across this thread while looking up another bow.
Amazing what happens in a year. I ended up buying a Super Kodiak 55#@28” and that has become my go-to. Shoots maybe a tad faster than the Grizzly but zero hand shock or vibration, which I now notice the Grizzly has some. The 59’ Kodiak...
I have only been shooting trad for 8 months but am on my 4th bow and have found that it seems what one guy loves another can’t shoot worth a damn. The big complaint with the SK was the high wrist grip but I find it very comfortable. I had a Satori which everyone raves about but I didn’t care for.
I just bought a Super Kodiak and it’s been a great shooter. Have a Grizzly and a Kodiak 59’ and the Super K is my favorite out of the 3.
Shoot ability of the Grizzly with the speed of the 59’
