Emptying the bucket list in Canada

Mountain Caribou Free range wild bison. Words can't explain the enormity and impressiveness of these animals. Grouse and morels - one of the best wild game meals I've ever had I was fortunate to have been invited out for a day of Sturgeon fishing on the Fraser River Thanks for...

Emptying the bucket list in Canada

Couldn't have asked for a better trip to Canada. I was fortunate to take some nice animals in tough conditions. The moose was the only one I had an opportunity on in 10 days and the caribou was taken in the last hour of the last day. Did over 150km on horse back during the trip. The Bison was...

    First Lite Guide Pants

I love the guides. Never been too hot in them but in saying that I tend to wear the kanabs in 'hot' weather. The Guides are my go-to pant - got three pairs now.

Swaro teaser ad's for 3/9 announcement

Given all of their Instagram content on this contains the word 'Driven' - my guess is a red dot for driven hunting.

<1 club international winner for mid Asian Ibex

I went to Kryg in Oct/Nov 2017 and had a great trip. One thing I found really useful was a translation sheet that I made up converting the Kyrgyz and Russian words to English. It covers off a range of things like basic questions, health concerns (like altitude sickness etc) and other concepts...

    Corrugate Guide Pants

I concur that the Corrugates are the best hunting pant. Ample room in the legs and backside especially with bird legs like mine!

    New Stone Glacier Tent

Exactly - just buy a Big Sky Chinook that is lighter, cheaper and you don't need trekking poles to use the vestibules. It can be run as a 3 or 4 season with 2 or 3 poles respectively, pitched fly only for floorless and has an exoskeleton.

    Exo waist belt

I had a kuiu and my biggest issue was the belt. The Exo belts on all 3 generations that I've had have been great - zero issues and easily the most comfortable belt I've ever used.

Kowa TSN-553 Review, By Luke Moffat

Thanks for the review Luke. For me Kowa is the difference between carrying and not carrying a spotter. In most of my hunting situations there is no need to determine legality. I think the Kowa is a bit overpriced though. It does not have the same features (rotating collar, exchangeable...

Opinion on first lite rain jacket

I've got the SEAK and love it. It is bomber, comfortable and noticeably breathable. For its size and weight it is my go to rain coat. Just waiting for the SEAK pant to come out!

    Thinking about a Sauer 100

The finish that they use is incredible. I've had mine rub against rocks and steel and not mark the finish. It is tough and I would not be concerned about it.
