We did a test 1 year when we were hunting at my buddies dad's in Yale, MI. We took in the 3 deer that we had removed the tenderloins from yet we received tenderloins back from each deer.... 🤷
@gjs4 I started with the pulsar hd19a and now also have a pulsar helion XQ38F and I got my dad one of the pulsar axion models. I will be getting the iray mh25 in the near future because I prefer the 1x FOV over the 3x of the helion. Plus I'm wanting the bump in resolution also.
Thermal Monocular. I was shocked at what I could detect with the thermal. I always carry 1 into the woods, especially at night. It's my favorite piece of gear to play with.
You can also get a ffp with an illuminated reticle and turn it on for lower magnification if needed to help see it. Another option is to have a offset red dot sight for anything closer and keep your magnification up for medium to longer ranges. Try both for your situation and see what works...
