I went duck hunting this morning and used a First Lite Tundra, temps were in the 20s with a 25 mph wind. The Tundra was nice and warm but the wind cut through it and introduced a little chill. Are there any similar pieces out there that have more wind resistance?
I did this and it seems to have done the trick but the sheath lost some of its shape. It still has good retention and fits the knife so I’m not worried. It lives in a Marsupial zipperoo pouch so all the sheath does is cover the edge.
Added a card to my kit. Thanks.
After cleaning my deer Friday I put my Steep Country back in the sheath for the drag out and got the sheath full of gunk. It’s the original black kydex sheath. I’ve tried soaking it in soapy water but every time I put the blade back in it comes out covered in fat and crud.
Any tips on getting...
Interesting the other clearance ammo they just mark out of stock not completely delete it.
It was $26.98 a box, I was thinking about ordering a few more boxes tonight.
Academy has a good deal on 127gr Vrtx-LR right now. I picked up a couple boxes for the Vanguard you jerks talked my into.

I was looking at Weatherby’s website and didn’t see any 1:10 22-250s. I got curious and did a quick cleaning rod test with mine and got a 1:14, which matches the majority of their other rifles. You guys may want to test yours if you were planning on 1:10 loads.

I have the 154cm version, it has some flex but not near as much as a traditional filet knife.
I bought a pair of Asolo Reston waterproof boots a couple years ago and despite all my efforts and wishes I can not get these boots to work for me.
Probably worn less than a half dozen times and never in the dirt. They have just been sitting on my shelf collecting dust.
$75 and will consider...
I’m continuing to hunt for a pair of cold weather tree stand boots that will work for me and plan to try the Hoffman Mountaineers next.
I called and visited with them on sizing but I’m all over the place in shoe sizes and they weren’t quite sure which way to tell me to go. I’m hoping some of...
I’ve had a Garmin Fenix 5 for years but have basically used it as a glorified FitBit. I’m wanting to actually start using more of its capabilities. What apps has everyone found useful? The only one I’ve downloaded is a stopwatch which does get regular use.
I was beginning to wonder if part of it was the rubber. I like them because most places I hunt have small creek crossings and they keep me dry but I’m still frozen.
The last two weekends my feet have frozen while hunting. Temperatures have been in the 20s and I’m sitting in a ground blind or in a stand.
The first weekend I was wearing Lacrosse Alpha Lite boots with merino socks, this weekend I had Magellan Pro rubber boots
