Gunbroker can be addictive , lol. Have bought a couple dozen or so. Only 2 that I was not quite satisfied with , but they were 60-75 year old guns and sold as is.
arri1942 , have you weighed the wood stock ? Some wood stocks are really not that heavy , may be lighter than some of the composite choices out there. Some of the B&C stocks are tanks. Even a McMillan swirly are 32-34 oz. When you get into the edge fill McMillans you are at 25 oz +or-.
If you are really looking to go cheap the current plastic stock on the SPS is light 26-27 oz's. It is IIRC 13.5 length of pull though. If you could find a take off stock from a youth model SPS that would probably be the best. It takes alot of money to get below a 26 oz stock on a rifle. I have...
This will be my 3rd season with e 35. It's the best hunting bow I've ever had. I used to switch out bows just about every season after trying the latest offerings , not even thinking about switching now.
I have a M7 in 7saum from the early 2000's. The factory synthetic stock weighs over 37 oz. I modified a M700 synthetic stock to fit . They weigh 26oz. Pillered and bedded it now weighs 28 oz.
I have one Monarch 3 , a 2.5x10x40 and numerous Leupolds. I like the Nikon better , much better turrets. CDS on Leupold is mushy. The Nikon I have has Mildot reticle , my favorite reticle.
I am probably hunting a draw unit in Colorado. I would like to access this unit by parking my vehicle in another unit and walking a couple miles to the unit I am hunting. I checked with DOW and got a half hearted yes from "guy" on the phone. Is this legal to do ?
I've hunted with Teeton 5 trips out west . He is tough as nails and can get the job done. He can pack in as far as necessary in the roughest terrain. :)
