    Sous Vide venison barbacoa

I tired a similar recipe with beaver in the crock pot-- man was that some good stuff! I fed around 10 people with street style tacos. It was so good they didn't even begin to care it wasn't venison!

The 1 Thing You Learned- Cooking Wild Game

I grew up thinking the only way to eat wild game was to through it in a crock pot with a can of creamy soup or cook the tar out of it in the oven. While rice + venison + creamy mushroom is good in the college dorms it's not something you'd make trying to impress someone. The biggest thing I...

    Nevada Archery Antelope 205-208

Congrats on pulling an archery antelope tag! It took me 3-times to MT to finally arrow a buck but persistence does pay off. The best advice I ever received was to hunt fence lines and determine where bucks are crossing. Antelope don't typically hop fences so setting up at these cross points can...

New archer - bow suggestions ??

For your first bow I wouldn't go with a 2022 flagship unless you're confident you will get 5+ years out of it. You can get a "custom" bow fit to you with mid-to-high range accessories for sub $900 all said and done. For a beginner, I'd suggest spending no more than $400-600 on the bow and $250...

    The Poor Man's Hot Tent

This is awesome! Thanks for sharing. I've debated back and forth with spend the $600+ it take to purchase stove ready tent as a grad student. I'm still wanting to build my own stove too but this is a step in the right direction!

    Archery Target Repainting / Facelift

Thanks for the heads up. I wonder if plastic spray paint-- like the ones from Krylon-- would provide better adhesion. I might give that a go and report back.

    Archery Target Repainting / Facelift

This is great! I have a hurricane bag that has taken a beating over the years. The target zones have severally faded and I've never been a fan of the bright green bag with red dots. Black with white dots will certainly help with pin blur issues I've had past 50yds.

    Adding hip vents to pants

This is awesome! I've got an old pair of Kuhl pants I'm going to try this with. These ventilation areas are why I predominantly purchase Kuiu pants.

    Best Game Bag Setup

Black Ovis makes good bags for the price. You can purchase in sets for quarters or boned out meat. They've always cleaned up nicely for me too.

Montana General - Habitat Question, Not Spots

Assuming you'll be staged in one of the eastern units. Pay attention to draws coming off of ag fields/water sources. I've found success in those narrow corridors bucks use to travel late morning coming out of those lower elevation bedding areas.
