    How far should the stove pipe be above tent peak?

    Need to cut down my stove pipe to fit , since I bought it used and its 12 feet long I believe. It sticks out at least 5 feet above the peak of my tent, need to shorten it down. how much? Also best way to cut it? Dremel with a cutting wheel or some tin snips?
