What I determined after comparing Kowa 55 and Razor 65

A buddy is letting me borrow his Kowa 55 for a day out hunting and I wanted to compare it to my razor 65. I only have a plate for the razor and I would love to get my hands on another outdoorsman’s plate to put on the Kowa for swapping back and forth on the tripod. I would greatly appreciate...

Asking $400 TYD Pair is in great shape! I just recently received these back from Vortex to have the objective lenses replaced, because one of the lenses had a minor scratch, and to just have a good cleaning and once over. These bino’s will come with the box and the original accessories that came...

Vortex Razor UHD vs. Nikon Monarch HG Binoculars

My brother is looking at getting some Razor UHD’s and I told him about the Monarch HG’s, a decent savings in price. However, I don’t have experience with either pair. Are the Monarch HG’s comparable to the Razor UHD’s? Reading the specs, they seem to be better in my mind than the razors, also...

Leica Noctivid and Zeiss Victory SF users over Swarovski EL?

I am in the market for one of these bino’s come spring time. In my research there is an overwhelming amount of info for the EL’s over the other two on Rokslide. Don’t get me wrong, I have researched plenty about the Victory’s and the Noctivid’s and I have read Matt Cashell’s review’s on them as...

Swarovski SLC viewing with eye glasses?

I am looking hard at either SLC 10x42’s or EL 10x42’s for hunting. I like the price of the SLC’s. I primarily wear contacts, but there are times that I get sick of them and I like take a break and wear eye glasses. The SLC’s have an eye relief of 16mm compared to the EL’s 20mm. Have any of you...

What size Kifaru 5 string stuff sack for a long 17 degree 750 fill down sleeping bag?

I have a Big Agnes long 17 degree bag that is 750 fill. Does anybody have a similar size bag that they use this stuff sack for and what size do you use? The Large 5 string seems overkill, but I'm not sure with the medium or small, having no hands on experience with these. Thank you.

How is your Kifaru Hoodlum set up with pouches and accessories?

I live out west and i’m looking at a backpacking set up. I think I will be getting the Kifaru Hoodlum when I get a new pack, but I’m not sure how I would set it up with pouches and accessories that attach. What is the purpose behind your set up. Keeping pack clean while packing out meat?

How do you guys pack out meat and keep your packs clean while keeping the meat cool and in good condition? I've seen a lot of discussion on where to load meat such as meat shelf vs. in the bag, but I am more curious to hear about what kind of bags you put your meat in? Dry bags, breathable...

Idaho draw results in today! I drew the 30-1 tag that opens up right after archery season, I'm so stoked. I'm familiar with the units and have hunted different units in the past. I'm open to any pointers and advice I can get. Great time to get in on some rutting bulls with a rifle. Thank you...
