Food Recommendations for staying full and losing weight

For me, I believe dropping alcohol was the biggest factor because of all the aforementioned issues and I realized it was doing a lot of harm with literally zero true benefits. Then intermittent fasting with nearly zero processed "foods", and kind of a modified carnivore with a bit of fruit...

    Hot Sauce Recommendation?

I'm a big fan of grilled chicken thighs seasoned heavily with Island Spicce's Jamaican jerk seasoning. The Brimstone sauce we brought back from St. Kitts goes very well with jerk chicken. Gotta have a Scotch Bonnet based sauce with jerked chicken. I always have Frank's on hand for everything...

    Quitting Alcohol

We had an assembly where they brought the elementary and middle schoolers into the gym and talked about drugs. It was pre-DARE and put on by the "Tri-County Drug Task Force" centered out of Fort Dodge, IA. It also had undesirable effects in the fact that it generated curiosity and taught us how...

    Quitting Alcohol

I love that point about the cost of poisoning yourself; kindof ironic really. That thought occurred to me quite a bit, plus the future cost of associated health issues but I never realized what exactly was going on until I listened to the Huberman podcast #86. The school system should focus a...

    Quitting Alcohol

Good on you, that takes some wherewithal. I'd be boiling skulls and celebrating every single day until it was time to sober up and collect myself a couple days before doing it all over again. Fortunately, I was able to pack out my little buck this fall and enjoy a sparkling water or two. This...

    Quitting Alcohol

10 months, steady as she goes. I was actually a D.D. a couple times last month, a first. I started cracking up when I realized the significance or irony of me being the only sober one. Life is good.

Has anyone done a drop test on Leupold Vx5hd?

Doubtful. Should have left out the elevation and merely stated it was a rugged hunt with a lot of bumps and jostling.

Has anyone done a drop test on Leupold Vx5hd?

Certainly not a drop test, but my VX5HD 3-15 on a 7.5 lb 300WM has held zero after a 4 day backpack hunt at 12,000, and a 5 day basecamp hunt in the Flat Tops. I don't recall any devastating bumps but it wasn't babied either.

    Plantar fasciitis

Voodoo or other muscle floss bands on the calves has helped me, along with all the other recommendations mentioned above. Dropping 40 lbs, sugar, and alcohol seemed to help too.

    Knife sharpening

I bought this too and have had decent luck, got one pocket knife super sharp, a few others moderately sharp, Buck knives not so much, and the rest wont work in the clamp. Not satisfied by any stretch.

    Market commentary you deem relevant

I listened to Bruce Williams' show on AM radio a lot back in college. Because of him, I maxed out both 401k and Roth IRA instead of credit cards when I entered the work force. I agree though, you couldn't Google anything back then, let alone carry a powerful computer in your pocket.

    Mountain Ops Update?

I'd never used supplements before and tried thier products back when they had the Rokslide 20% promocode. They tasted ok and mixed well and I dropped a small fortune on them. Then they quit giving us a discount so I quit giving them or any other supplement company my business. I use coffee for...

Nope, not a unicorn by a long shot but he certainly wasn't 11 like someone else I know🙄 11 years old, wtf dude. Look at a kid that's 11 or 13 or whatever, that's not right. Great discussion and openness fellas, keep up the great work! I'll say it again, this thread and Huberman Podcast...

    Quitting Alcohol

Now that question opens up a big ass can of psychological worms that could take days to discuss. Of course I'd liked to have been able to have a drink with him, its the socially acceptable, and promoted, thing to do right? Plus, it's how "we" celebrate events and accomplishments as minor as...

    Quitting Alcohol

Damn, you just described me to a T, expect I have 5 years on you. We took my son out for supper on his 21st birthday last fall, so many thoughts went through my head watching him order and drink a margarita. I pray he doesn't get sucked in and shackled like I did. Thank God I'm free now. Great...
