How much do you plan on shooting? You're looking at about $0.20/round difference. Just multiply that by the number of rounds you're going to shoot to see what you would save by changing to Bergers and then determine if that is worth it to you to have to do load additional load development...
If reliability/durability is your #1 priority you should probably stick with NF or Trijicon. You can get an SHV for about the same cost as what 50% off the Zeiss would be.
There was a study done, which I don't know where to find right off hand, that shows that the difference in a hit at long range between a .5 MOA and 1 MOA gun is only a few percentage points. It doesn't look like you're even that far apart between tier 1 and tier 2. I doubt you'd notice a...
I got a Sauer 100 in 7mm Rem Mag last year. Very accurate. Took a mule deer at 620 yds with 150 grain Barnes Vortex ammo in the fall. I love the trigger. Not sure that there's really anything that can beat it in the price point that it's at. Tikkas are probably the closest equal.
Ok, I think I was just being paranoid. I believe it's just where the rifling meets the crown. When I rotate my rifle, I can see the same shiny spot at the end of every groove.
I was cleaning my rifle and I noticed this mark on the end of the barrel. I can't tell if this is a nick or just where the rifling ends. Haven't noticed it before but also haven't cleaned it with the same lighting I have now. Any thoughts?
It's a Sauer 100 with maybe 150 rounds though it. Only...
Any recommendations on the best adhesives for permanently bonding a picatinny rail to a rifle action? I've seen that Loctite 380 works great but I cant find any locally. I'd guess JB Weld would work fine. Anything else?
I've got a batch of brass that has a mixed number of firings and it could be anywhere between 1-4. Will there be any noticeable accuracy differences between them? I don't anneal so I assume I can continue to reload until the neck splits, head separates or primer pocket becomes too loose...
Looking to trade (150) - 140gr Nosler Partition for an equal count of 139-150gr Barnes LRX or TTSX in 7mm.
If someone is interested in buying, they're $45 TYD per box of 50.
Just curious what you have found your POI change has been when doing ladder tests in 0.5 or 1 grain increments. If all else is equal, does each shot with a different charge weight hit the same general area or can they be widely scattered?
Thanks for the info. I was also wondering how the horizontal distance would change based on rifle or ballistic setting, weird. Was wondering about the TRIG function within the TBR setting. TRIG is not associated with any ballistic group so it should only give you LOS and true horizontal...
Is there a way to use the TBR without having to select a ballistic group? My rifle/ammo combination isn't listed in one of their charts and I don't want my rangefinder compensating for the wrong setup.
All I want is for my rangefinder to compensate for the angle and give me the true...
