Ive seen them targeting acorns at around 7,400’. Oaks seem heavier to me than I’ve noticed for the last couple years. But I haven’t found the berries, or an acorns above 7,600. None. What elevations/aspects have you been finding the berries? And what kind?

The hard June frost did seem to knock back both the hard and soft mast quite a bit in middle elevations. No acorns. Very little fruit. Been seeing bears maybe higher than typical and wildlife officers and biologist also suggest lower elevations too. Good luck.
