    I purchased a Steyr ProHunter III in 223 and I am going to load it with Barnes TTSX 62 grains. I think this will be a good combo for deer. Most of our shots are within 150 yards and typically less than 100.

    I just saw Powder Valley has Fiocchi large rifle primers in stock now. I have never used them but at least I know Fiocchi makes good ammo.

    Are barnes ttsx any good on deer.

    This is really good to hear. I am going to load the 62 grain TTSX in my 223 and I am hoping for the same results. Where we hunt it's pretty much 100 yards or less for the most part.

    I have a water softener that has media in it for reducing iron but I also have a tank that goes before the water softener which uses air to reduce the amount of iron before it gets to the water softener. Before all of that I have a spin down filter and a big blue filter that goes from 1-20...

    With seeing retailers with more and more primers for other applications I am hoping that the large rifle primers are not too far behind.

    I use premium bullets such as the TTSX in smaller calibers such as my 243 or 257 but with 308 or 30-06 I just use cup and core bullets for deer.

    Help me choose a Duck gun

    I purchased the Beretta A400 Extreme Plus 12 ga and I really like it. I shot 5 stand with it and the shotgun points and swings smoothly. I have a Benelli Super Sport Ethos in 20 gauge and I like it but it seems to shoot a little high and the shotgun is a little whippy for me.
