I had lasik done on 3/31 and I'm very happy with the results. I still have dry eyes when I wake up in the morning, but otherwise I'm good. 2 days after surgery I fished and ran a boat all day without issue even though I was concerned about excessive dryness due to the wind. So far I'm glad I...
Please make sure the kid has a life jacket on.
Ive hunted out of one of these a few times and I dont see it taking much more than a ripple to make things go south in a hurry.

These videos are invaluable. Thank you for putting these out there and sharing your extensive knowledge. Also thank you for being the steward you are and fighting for public lands that benefit everyone. Great stuff!!
Definitely! I've flown home from Alaska 2 different times with skinned out ducks, a separate time with 9 skinned ducks and whole frozen artic fox in my carryon and yet another time with about 40lbs of frozen salmon, ling cod and halibut filets. On those trips I've taken gear and boots I don't...
I would love to have a new Uncompahgre...reason being is that 2 years ago I finally bought one and on my first day ever wearing it I burned a huge hole in the back and down one arm on the stove in my shelter. Ive worn it since a few times, but the insulation is literally falling out. 😐
I think...
Interesting. I can't think of a better "cover" scent than wood smoke. It is a naturally occurring smell in the wild and IMHO works wonders to somewhat mask human odor.
How much money do you want to spend?
I usually fly Delta and for 100 lbs/2 x 50lb bags, which of course includes the luggage its self, you are looking at $60 each way. If you add a 3rd 50lb bag it is another $150.
Even crappy coolers weigh 10 lbs....
I have flown all over the US with 2 shotguns in a pelican 1750 case, and later moved to using a hardsided golf club case to mask the contents. The one thing I can tell you is that EVERY SINGLE AIRPORT handles the situation different ... EVERY ONE OF THEM ....no matter what airline you are...
I think there needs to be a sticky that goes something like this ...
Hey, east coast / midwest / south guys ... using a floorless shelter doesn't automatically mean 1. you're going to drown 2. bugs are going to get you
I only say this because I had some of the same initial concerns and when...
If you are stuck on keeping contacts I can't recommend the daily wear enough. At the end of the day you ditch them. Every morning put in a brand new pair.
After 33 years of contacts I'm done with them and the constant hassle they are in the outdoors. I moved to daily wear lenses about 8 years ago and they made a world of difference in my day to day experience and comfort, but they are still contacts. This year instead of shelling out $550 for a...
Cheap. Available in big jugs on amazon. No UV brighteners. One of my kids has very sensitive skin/eczema outbreaks so we wash his clothes in this too and since doing so his skin has gotten 100000 times better.
I have a sawtooth and think it is overkill for solo use. The Tut wasn't available when I bought mine or I would have likely gone that route. I've been considering selling my sawtooth and going with a Tut.
