Thanks for the info olddecker and R_burg. Really like the SC layout but it's definitely a bit more tactical than the Avail. I reached out to SG and talked with Andrew about the Avail vs the Kiowa and he recommended the Kiowa as it has a bit more organization and holds a little more gear for...
I'm looking for an EDC bag for work (computer, lunch, notebooks, water bottle, etc) and to also use for day hikes and hunts. The Avail seems to tick a lot of the boxes with some decent built in organization and the price is right. Also seems to get great reviews. Also been looking at the...
You probably know this but just in case you don’t, First lite is discounting most of the stuff on their site right now to get ready for the new lineup. Wilkin $69 and Minaret $63 in fusion or cipher. Solids too. Most sizes still available.

My primary navigation is done on a GPS/phone app but I typically carry a compass and map while hiking or hunting for backup in less familiar areas. I feel that I could make it work but am looking to strengthen my orienteering skills. Anyone have any suggestions for books or other training...
I have one of the single burner ones, doesn’t get much use. It’s a little unsteady. Primary car camp stove is a two burner older model of the one below. I have a Lodge cast iron griddle that travels with it and fits perfectly over both burners.

Yeah...... I’m conflicted as well but a buddy wants to go and it’s the only place to get your hands on some of the products.
Bummer about Kifaru. I tried their pack on at a prior show but was looking to do a comparison again. Maybe I’ll be able to find Jordan within the chaos.

I’ll be there Saturday or Sunday, want to check out packs again. Anyone know if Kifaru will be there? I didn’t see them on the vendor list but the last time (last year I think?) they were off of the Mtn Ops setup.

Lots of good info in here. I have a BS in Marine Biology. Worked for the state of Florida for two years. Best job I ever had; got paid $10.50-11.75/hr. to fish for snook. No benefits but I was young. There wasn’t a real opportunity for advancement.
After that took a job with a consultant...
Thanks for the info GPATTI. you guys going to be at the Western Expo in Salt Lake? Wouldn’t mind taking a look at your setup.

Do the magnets in the OV harness interfere with a compass? I don’t use one as primary nav but always have one as backup.

I’ve purchased quite a bit of camera gear from them. Solid company that’s been in the game for a long time. I returned a lens once just because I had second thoughts on the price (they weren’t overpriced, I just couldn’t justify the lens and picked up a similar model) and there wasn’t an issue...
I found Rokslide via searching for gear reviews as I was new to bow hunting. After lurking on the site for many months it became apparent that the content from moderators, partners, and the community was genuine and there truly was a desire to honestly answer questions and help others navigate...
