Well I hit the local shops today to check out some boots. Being that I needed a wide boot my options were limited. Started out with the Hanwag Trapper top gtx I think it was. None in a wide so it got ruled out fast. Tried on the Hanwag Alaska GTX next in a wide but it just didnt feel quite right...
My Metcalf finally showed up yesterday and cant be happier. This is by far the most comfortable pack I have ever worn. Cant wait to get out and test it on the trails.

So I bought a pair of Lowas a couple years ago and they just kill my feet. Especially when side hilling.
I am looking at trying a pair of Crispis. They seem to be highly recommended here but what model is suggeated most.
Mainly for back country/mountain BC hunting.

I picked up some 5.11 boots awhile ago for work and they are fantastic... Was in Cabelas yesterday and decided to grab some Stryke pants to try out. I bought them for just general wear and hiking but seriously considering trying them out hunting with a base layer when it gets a bit cooler...
