Badlands Clutch for sale. Only worn for a few day hunts. It's in great shape. While I have not packed meat in this bag it did get a stain on one strap where it touched a moose quarter. $200 shipped CONUS.
We were blessed with early snow and cold temps this year. Saturday morning it was 18 C and there was 6" of powder snow on the ground....conditions we usually don't get until after the season closes. I left the truck 1/2 before daylight and with my headlamp started trekking uphill. As daylight...
The 2020 caribou hunt turned out to be a bit of an adventure with my brother. We hiked up into the alpine and set up the Black Diamond MegaLite in a high saddle (.....ie: wind tunnel). That night at 2:30am I woke to the tent flapping on my face. The two down-wind corner pegs (8" Y-stakes) had...
BC cat hunting is under attack by the same group who lobbied for the grizzly closure. I’ll be writing letters to the BC government and encourage others to do the same.

Spend 9 days in the mountains with my brother and daughter. Didn't find the legal bull till second to last day. We had a lot of bad weather so the crib board came in handy. Was an awesome trip and the meat is delicious. I'm glad there were 3 of us for the pack out. I'm feeling pretty blessed to...
I left after work on a Friday and drove North to the goat mountains. Got to the trail head at 11:30 PM and slept in the hatch-back for the night.
Hiked up Sat am as the fog rolled in. I hiked around the cliffs (in the fog, rain and sleet) for a couple hours but visibility was 50 to 70...
Took my youngest daughter up for goats. We spent 4 days up in the alpine. Was a great trip. Shot was 260 yards with a 243 Axis loaded with 80gr TTSX - worked great.

Black Diamond Megalight in strong winds. The 8" pegs weren't enough in the weak mountain soils, had to add some rocks. The wind blew all night like this. Glad it held together!
Here are a few pics from last weekend. My daughter had a draw for mountain goat so we hiked in over 6km to have a look around.
Paradox pack fits me better than any other pack I've tried. I usually have problems with the hip belt slipping once the weight is over ~70lbs and I'm...
