Chugach weather

Headed to Chugach to help a friend with his DS140 tag next week. Any info on current snow levels on the south side of the unit? Sounds like there’s been a lot of rain and wondering what’s been going on up high. We’re planning on getting our asses kicked by weather. But snow levels may determine how we access the area.

We'll, right now we're setting warmest/driest September in a long time records after a wet August...

All of the termination dust that started creeping down early in the month seems to have disappeared around Anchorage. That said, it's definitely cooling down and ground temps are dropping with all the cool clear nights.

I think things aren't bad at all (yet) but that can change quick of course.

Thank you for the info! I guess we’ll see how it plays out in the next week. Excited to get in there and see some fresh country regardless of how the weather goes.

Two suggestions: do some searches for "crow pass" conditions since that goes from girdwood to eagle river (23mi) and is a popular route for thru hikers.
