Yep you can sleep 5 easily in the SL-5 w/o the nest. The SL-4 nest you could actual fit 5 in as as well and I have done that too. You can easily get for in the SL-5 nest though. Useable space for 2 or 3 guys is quite a bit in the SL-5 if you don't have a stove. If you put a stove in the SL-5 its a solid spacious warm 2 man shelter.

Do any of you happen to know the weight of the fly without the nest or center pole. I couldn't find the info on Golite's site.

right at 23-24 oz. ( minus the stakes).

Thanks for the info. I've been considering ordering one. It seems like a nice versatile set-up for one or two hunters.
