Need to cut down my stove pipe to fit , since I bought it used and its 12 feet long I believe. It sticks out at least 5 feet above the peak of my tent, need to shorten it down. how much?

Also best way to cut it? Dremel with a cutting wheel or some tin snips?

I think 12-18 inches higher than the peak of your shelter is about perfect. Longer pipes don't offer any provable advantages I can see.

I’m a metal worker and if possible I would use snipers because they are quiet(don’t need ear plugs) also I would feel if it’s laid out flat snips would give a nice line then just use some wood and a hammer to smooth out the cuts. A cut off wheel may be easier if the pipe is round and not flat but then you have a big burr to smooth out which can be a pain in the ass on thin metal. But I have never cut titanium pipe so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
