I thought I would post this up because I can't find much on Cutting Edge bullets, especially on game performance. I might have a deer hunt coming up on private land and the landowner won't let me use lead bullets. So I had Whaley Precision build me a 6.5 SAUM on a long action. Unknown Munitions made up a box of test loads starting at 59 grains of VV 565. The Cutting Edge Lazers have a Sealtite band, basically a bore rider, we didn't really know where we would hit pressure. I worked up to 64 grains with no pressure. The best group was also 64 grains with a velocity of 3100 FPS with a 21" barrel.... Smokin! I plan to shoot a few critters with it. I will post back when I do.

Next short 6.5 will be a Sherman, adg brass readily available, and less mag box issues..

This is my second one. The PRC gets all the love but both of my SAUM'S have shot lights out. AND you can find brass.

AND they don’t seem to have as frequent clicker / sticky extraction issues as PRC.

What twist did you go with? Those are some long Mofos.

I took my first deer with a cutting edge bullet. I try to use them where I can, but it did it's job.
