I just got notified that I was the alternate for a 161 archery cow moose tag. I have already killed a bull so now I get to fill the freezer with some amazing meat. Any info on areas to find good concentrations of cows and good camp spots would be appreciated.

Well… the southern half of 161 is closed due to the Morgan Creek Fire.

Best advice is to just go and stop by a few elk camps and start asking if they seen any moose.

Amazing how many times I’ve been asked if I’ve seen any moose when I’ve been elk hunting.
