Getting a start on putting together a moose hunt in Alaska for 2023 or 2024.
I have a Remington 673 in 300 saum that’s is always my grab and go rifle. Points like a shotgun and shoots where I point it.
It’s favorite load in the 168 TSX at 2875.
In your opinion, will that do for moose? Plan on a primarily archery hunt, the rifle will be a backup of last few days option.

100%, just keep impact velocity over 2000 fps.

Grab and go!

Good luck.

weve used these in a 300 win mag with great results. Just remember there is a min. Velocity for proper expansion so longer ranges might be an issue, especially on the larger critters.

Nothing wrong with a 168gr TSX in 0.308 traveling at or over 2000fps.

I killed my bull last fall at 415yds with that bullet. He didn’t take a step.

They work great out of my 30-06, 2 bull moose 1 elk. Shots were 30 190 and 230 yards running at 2940 fps. All 1 shot kills.

Should be fine up to 500 yards or so. I use the 168 TTSX as my main 308 load for all big game but personally like to keep my shots under 300 if possible.
