I have a Remington 700 Stainless 5R in .308 Win manufactured in 2001. This is one of the good ones, far superior to what is produced today. 24" 5R heavy barrel. Sits in an HS Precision stock with full length aluminum bedding block. The stock is as-new. The metal is nearly perfect with only one small shiny spot on the top of the barrel, about the size of the head of a ballpoint pen. The bolt jeweling is perfect. The rifles wears a Walker trigger tuned by Cahunter805 to a crisp 2.5 pounds pull weight. Andy does an awesome job on these triggers! The rifle is essentially as new. According to the prior owner that bought it new, round count is less than 200 and shoots half MOA with factory ammo. The 5R rifles of this vintage are known to be shooters, which is why I bought it. But priorities have changed, so someone else needs to enjoy it.
