2011 WI Public land archery mount

Just got him back last week. Grosses over 160" NT. Dressed 226#, aged at 7.5 years old. This buck was the first deer I seen from stand in 59 hours of sitting in the Northern WI woods last fall. The wolves have created havoc upon our deer herd, its been really sad to watch happen. Open season on them this fall though finally.

Nice public land buck for sure.....mine from southern Wisconsin was only about 115 a decent 8pt and I got that mounted....lots of competition on public land in southern wi.

What part of northern wi? I hunted a lot in the wi rapids area and my in laws have a cabin up by danbury wi up north

Nice buck!! I have a good idea what it is like to hunt up there, and that is quite an accomplishment. That is like shooting a 210" buck on Iowa. Congrats!!

Thanks Billy! Yes most people don't understand how it works up there. I have so many bucks from 3.5-5.5 years old that score from 110"-135" its crazy. To finally pin one that goes this good was a great feeling!

Awesome deer les, I hunt near winter and the wolves are horrendous there too
