I spent ten days in Idaho this year, The first five I was solo Elk hunting. Shot my Elk on the 4th. day and my Mule deer on the 10th. day(last day of the season). The Elk took me 5 trips to get him out and the Mule deer, 1 trip. I made three good shots on the Elk, first and second shot were slightly quartering away right in the boiler room at 408yds. and the third shot was 428yd. neck shot , where all I could see was the top of his back, neck and head. Shot the Mule deer at 80yds. in the boiler room. All in all one trip I will never forget.

Thanks everybody, it was a great trip and I am already planning for next year!!

JNDEER, I shot him 1 mile from the trail head and there was still snow on the ground so it was a pretty easy drag.
