Colorado Bear. Had a buddy put me on a Bear bedded in some dark timber. Snuck up to within 20 yards.

This Alaskan tundra boar grizzly was taken Sept. 8. I used a vintage Winchester model 71 rifle in 348 Win to down him. His head qualifies him for the book.

Alpine grizzly from the Alaska Range.

One of two we took about an hour apart.

Skull was over 24" and would have qualified for B&C as a grizzly, but it was taken just a few miles south of the "brown bear/grizzly bear" line, so no joy. Heavy wear on the teeth proved it to be an old bear. 20+ by the biologist estimate.

I took this bear in early September here in California, sitting water at 30 yards. His body was small but his paws and head were unusually large compared to his body. His skull comes in just over the P&Y minimum.
