Took my best alpine buck so far. He was a warrior. When I was taking out the heart I noticed that he had a broken antler tine poking into his chest cavity. Because it was completely healed over on the outside I had no idea it was there. The point was right next to his heart! He was shot at reasonably close range of 85 yards off my pack sitting with my xp-100 chambered in 284win. I'm really liking the 142gr lehigh controlled chaos. They are hammering critters so far.

That’s a beauty. I’ve seen the XP around, but never shot one, very nice.

What is the effective range on a set up like that seems like it would be pretty ideal for my Kodiak hunt in 2020
