We’ve seen a lot of mule deer does but no bucks with them. We’ll find em

Decided to move, others hunters moving in. We went to check on the known water holes in the area and we are in luck. Jimmy said it was dry last year but the two water holes we checked were holding h20, so he's super pumped. We also got on another group of mule deer does, we've counted 5-6 so far and are pulling out the spotters hoping to pick up a buck.

Just saw 4 or 5 Coati, I guess they are from the raccoon family? Jimmy and split up but he told me over the radio he's never seen them before. Maybe we should start a fund to get him some swaro el 12x50s! It's my first day and I'm seeing all kinds of stuff

It's too small for Jimmy but if it was Jan 1st I'd be walking over

A little secret seep that I found a few years ago. Good to know it’s not dried up.

Those are some interesting looking critters for sure. I'd much rather see some of those big bucks that live down there though. Maybe your just waiting till the 1st haha don't worry no one will tell slim.

I might have heard Gritty Bowman say he ate one of those things?

Are you guys glad the water is there so you can sit it, or is it just to confirm the deer are there?

It’s just nice to know that there is water in the area I’m hunting. Last year the water was on the other side of the valley and so were the deer.

Well we seen 4 different herds of mule deer and none of them were with a buck except that little guy that Billy found. The rut should be going strong right now so hopefully tomorrow we’ll turn something up. It’s only day one, we’ll find em!

It's supposed to get pretty cold, at least for Arizona, this weekend, the deer should be on the move a lot. Good luck guys.

We didn’t turn anything up glassing the first canyon so we moved to the next one and have only spotted a herd of 7 mule does. Still glassing
