My daughter loves to POW POW the deer I bring home. This is my biggest buck yet, he has lots of character. He needs more than one photo to show the kickers and his uniqueness, but this is the best photo including my family. I was on a time line that night to get this deer to the processor before closing.

Ordinarily this buck would have gotten a pass to let him grow another year or two. But with my 9yo son 6yo daughter tagging along he wound up getting taken.

Daughter had a manny petty with her mom in the morning which my son though disqualified her from coming on the evening hunt. She informed him that the blaze orange was more likely to alert the deer than her nails! If you look closely at her left hand on his shoulder there are her newly done nails! It was the first time in ages that they got along and didn't fight for 4+hours!

Another buck and another great memory. Goal #2 for me this year was to harvest a deer with my grandfathers rifle. Nov. 23rd was another truly blessed day as my grandfather for my first opening day ever was watching over me from above. I was able to harvest this good buck early in the morning and was also joined by my brother who hasn’t hunted Whitetail for 12 years. A story and memory I will forever cherish.

This was my first ever whitetail season and after nearly 20 sits in the treestand with little to no buck movement at all, I was on my second all day sit when this buck came in 5 minutes into shooting light and I put it on him. Went 40 yards and died within sight. First whitetail buck ever. PC: my summit treestand and iPhone self timer

I was fortunate to kill my first whitetail buck this year. My uncle and I spotted the buck about a mile away and he let me plan the stalk. We circled toward the bedded buck using hills to get closer without him seeing us. Once we got to the top of the last hill we dropped our packs and crawled the last few yards to clear the grass. I laid down behind the rifle and got comfortable while he ranged the buck. I took one shot at 365 yards with my uncle's 300 WM and the buck never stood up from his bed.
