Here’s my CO archery elk. Shot him solo but had the greatest of friends join on the pack out. First elk, took me four years.

WA 2020 DYI. At 78 and not in the best health this was my dads first opportunity for a quality hunt. We got it done on the 5th day. The best part was my 8 year old son was there every step of the way. I have a great picture of the three of us but this one kind of says it all. He didn't know I took this photo. It was an unbelievable experience with three generations. 20200925_093926.jpg

I’d love to hear the story on this one that’s a hell of a haul right there congrats!
Found one of those late season bachelor groups that had 5 bulls in it with one great bull for the general but only had three tags left instead of the five we started with. The three in that picture all died within a 50 yard circle and we were able to get them all out whole! That picture is actually taken in our front yard!

Ok I gotta ask...there’ve been 3 or 4 people on here with backpacks saying they’re 15-20+ miles from the truck. Are you guys really packing animals 15-20+ miles on your back?!!
2.5 miles was plenty far this year for me.
