Wyoming archery buck. Missed one with my recurve a day earlier. Took out the compound for one last hunt and put it all together. Day before starting a new gig!

Thanks. I was tickled to find him. He is haunting some other guys. He had graze marks on both sides of his neck. One from the day I shot him I think.

A8C38BAF-72E1-4CE4-AD34-0B76B2696BFF.jpegMy sons first trip out west and my first rifle antelope hunt. Chased these things with a bow in hand for a few years now with good results and decided to level the playing field a bit more. Last day of the hunt and he wasn’t getting a pass. He was probably more excited than I was and he wasn’t even behind the gun.

First antelope hunt ever, eastern WY.

Sunset from evening before opening day when scouting.

The setup, this was midday watching some lopes in the far distance, but they never got close enough.
Shot my buck in the evening after coming back to this spot from walking the area.

Got this guy right around 6 on opening evening. Nothing special as far as size, but had a great time and will be back next year.
