Click on the search function and type in "Montana Spring Bear" should turn up several threads for your particular interest. After finding a particular area that suits your needs, go ahead and give the Fish and Game department near that particular area a call and he/she is going to give you several spots to check out. Good luck in your searching.

I'm also looking at a Montana spring bear hunt this year and trying to find a hunting partner. If you are interested in a hunting partner send me a message.

Where do you live? The whole state has bears and camping so it’s more about what is a lesser drive than what has camping.

I live in south Louisiana but I work in west Texas.
No matter how you slice it my drive will be extremely long.

Well that’s will be definitely be a lot of driving either way. Basically just look at red lodge and look west till you hit Idaho and you’ll find bears. You’ll find brown and Blacks.

Don’t forget the ranger cabins and lookout towers for rent. You can find them in the USFS page.
