Hey guys. Wanted to post about my bird today. Really not a great story. I have been watching the turkeys in my area for the last couple of weeks and decided for the first couple of days I wasn't going to do anything - just set up and hunt them like deer. Headed out at 1:30 to sit the rest of the day. About 3:30 two Toms started working my way. I thought the first one was 20 but he was 25-26 and I shot just under him 😐 by the time I knocked another arrow the other Tom was in my shooting window looking at me. I had marked the spot at 30 yards so I drew back right away and he didn't have time to move. Went 10 yards and died. It was one of the most uneventful turkey hunts I have ever had - no decoys, no calling, no gobbling from the toms. Shot him from a muddy bull blind about 8 feet off the ground. Not your typical turkey hunt I guess but I am happy! 20200416_195518.jpg20200416_153759.jpg
