Just got home from a great hunt during Colorado's 2nd Rifle season. This was our third trip out for elk and mule deer and our biggest deer by far. I was disappoint to not fill my elk tag but super excited for my buddy to kill this great deer. We learned a lot, had a ton of fun and will definitely be back next year.

At about the 4:00 in your video did you pick up an elk shed in that area? A heavy 6 point with an extra?
We found 2 decent elk sheds in the first area but both were clearly old and sun bleached. Our conclusion was that the elk spend time there earlier in the year when there is more rain and snow melt to support grass.

About 50 yards from where you shot I found this shed in third season buried under a down tree E6168366-B73A-4492-8032-6AC8468FDE8E.jpeg
