This is my first post. Trying to get to the classifieds… so, here’s my pops. This was his first bull he shot in his life - quite possibly the last. It took him 18 years to draw this late season northern Utah tag. We scouted most of the summer and passed on many bulls during the hunt.
Don’t know what the bull would score. That wasn’t the main criteria for us. He was old and a fighter. Several broken tines with his left brow tine broken halfway down.
There was a major snow storm coming the day after he shot this bull, so we knew this was it.
400 yard shot with a 6.5 Creed, shooting the 143-ELD-X.
It was a three generation affair with me and my son along for the memories.
