215 Hybrid vs 230 SMK

Now its hard to argue with the success others have had with the 215 berger, but with the .8 BC of the 230 SMK it's making me curious. I have an XLR chassis coming and will be ordering a barrel next. Was thinking I'd like to go 26" 1/9 twist proof carbon, will still be a 300rum. But the SMK requires a 1/8? Which way should I go? Anyone here been shooting the 230 SMK? Any kills?

You won't want to use the 230 for hunting. It does not open at slower speeds. There's a few ugly hunting stories floating around the web on these. I personally did some reduced load expansion tests when they first came out and the bullets acted like FMJ's with zero expansion. I ruled them out for hunting at that point. If 230 class interests you, go 230 berger hybrid target. They work as well as the 215 on game
