8 twist 22-250 T3x - sent to Kampfelds and he rechambered and created false ahoulder and threaded. Barrel cut at 19”… The Arken is temporary-just for initial load development as I have a S&B 3-12x42 with turret on back order (Forms to blame for that purchase)

Thinking I probably will look for a cheek riser - need one for better fit on the stock.

Going to be slinging 80 grain ELDXs….Harvester Evo will go on once it’s out of jail.

Going to try to get out Sunday and start the process and get some loads down range.

Looks great! Post some range report photos on Sunday. Do you mind sharing how much it cost to have the factory barrel threaded with the false shoulder?

That looks nice. I wondered what I thought about he false shoulder, but even without the brake or suppressor on it does not look weird to me any more.

80s are giving you some speed out of the 22 creed.

I read too much of what @Formidilosus says, so am working on an adjustable “negative comb” cheek riser with leather for that comfy touch on my delicate cheek.

I don’t know that I will switch to the Rokstock, so I am curious about a little negative comb. My face geometry works with eye relief and the same touch point on my jaw/cheek.

Seems you have your own influences from Form, so If interested, I would send you one for testing and feedback.

Karl charged me $380 and turnaround was about 3-4 weeks. He does really amazing work. Highly recommend him.

Looks excellent. What is leading you to the 80 vs the 88 eldm?
I wanted to keep the speed with the shorter barrel and also just makes me feel better to have a bit tougher bullet...If there was an 80-85 grain scenar, I would shoot that first. I have already talked myself into using this rifle for deer, bear, and antelope if I draw and now I am working on convincing myself to chase an elk with it. The 80 grain ELDX being a tougher bullet, helps me in my back and forth with that decision....lololol

If the 80s dont shoot well, then Ill look at the 88s... May play with some 77 TMKs just to see how much velocity I can wring out of them, but that bullet at say 33-3400 FPS - while probably super deadly, not sure I want to see that carnage on an animal.

80gr Eldm has been good on hogs, deer, and coyotes so far out of an 18” creed and a 16” 223. The 80gr eldx should be even better

To be clear, that is for all of the barrel work you had done. The chopping, shouldering, and threading for the suppressor is between 150-175, depending on options you choose.

HandgunHTR, are you the gunsmith that did the work?

Yes, I should have been more clear - that was for all work involved. But once again, the work quality is 100% top notch and why I will continue using Kampfelds and referring others as well!

Thanks for clarifying. Thought that was a little spendy just to thread!
