Anyone shooting this? I really like the 22-250 and I have a couple ARs. But the heavier bullets and ammo availability have me interested.
I'm thinking about a barrel to swap onto my 6.5 PRC during the winter for coyotes and spring time plinking.
I'd definitely be handloading too but Scheels even has factory ammo and its always available. I haven't seen a box I'd 22-250 in a long time.

Any input?

The problem with 22 Valkyrie is the .422 case head. Your PRC has a .532 magnum bolt head diameter.

I’ve contemplated a similar build but will stick with 22-250 or 22 creedmoor for the standard.473 built head diameter. Also will use a 7 or 8 twist barrel.

I have a 224 Valkyrie and I like it. I shoot the 88gr eldm factory ammo from Hornady and it shoots fantastic in my AR. I have a ballistic advantage 18” 1-8 twist barrel. It has shot the cheap 75gr federal into .5 MOA and the Hornady 88gr into .25 moa. It is not a replacement for the 22-250 unless you have a slow 1-12 or 1-14 twist barrel it is in between the 223 and the 22-250. I don’t have a slow twist 22-250 I have a 1-8” twist 22-250 and a 1-8” twist 22creedmoor the 22-250 is about 300fps faster and creedmoor is 400 fps faster than the Valkyrie. The beauty of the Valkyrie is it feeds in the standard AR15. And the 22-250 or the creedmoor have to be in a AR10 or a bolt action. I would not bother building one in a bolt action when I could build a fast twist 22-250 or a 22creedmoor. My 22creedmoor shoots the 88gr eldm at 3200 while the Valkyrie is about 2800 with the same bullet.
