I'm traveling out of state to Colorado, and need to clean my skulls before returning home. I have 6 tags this year and want to be prepared. Does anyone have a reputable source for doing quick turnarounds of beetles skull cleaning? I'm looking for someone near Denver, but I will go as far as Colorado Springs or Fort Collins for a good deal. Thanks.

Beetles take 4-8 weeks typically. Not sure what you are asking, but if you need skulls cleaned in 48 hours, I'd bring a turkey fryer and plan on boiling them out yourself. I don't do beetles but my maceration work takes about 2 weeks. Good luck.

My beetles will clean a deer size skull in two days... but there is a lot more to the process to finishing a skull. 4+ weeks to degrease, whiten and seal. Ed F

Lot more to it then just letting the beetles or maceration clean it up for sure. Typically I'd never suggest boiling, but for 24-48 hours about only option. Finish whitening it up when you get home.

Beetles or maceration I think do by far the best job.
