Another vote for SSTs. Base of neck and the last 4-5 haven’t taken more than a few steps. Fairly close shots, 40-140 yards. Aggressive expansion and exits.

I've used 130 gr partitions for the past 35 years for whitetail in my 270 and it has stacked up a lot of deer over the years. The only issue I've had with them is when I didn't put the bullet in the right place. The bullet that has probably killed more whitetails than any other bullet is the old green box Remington Core-lokts.
