Having trouble finding any reviews/stories on the .277 150 grain accubond (white tip).
Anybody been using this bullet in any 270 cartridge? Think it’d be a great all around bullet for a 270 wsm

I used the 277 ballistics tip which flies the same but different terminal performance. I didn't ever see the accubond in a 277.

My WSM liked the BT though.

I think it’s a relatively new bullet in that caliber/weight.
I’ve found it in a few places (out of stock) and in nosler’s reloading manual.
Can’t find many people that have used it though

They released the 150 gr .277 accubond along with the 27 nosler and then everything went to he'll in a handbasket. Should be a fine bullet for the short mag.

Depending on the twist rate of the barrel you may struggle to stabilize a 150 out of a 270wsm. My gun really likes the 140AB but struggled to stabilize anything much longer than that. Just a thought. I think it would be an amazing “do most” bullet if you can get it to stabilize.

This… except newer purposefully designed cartridges or custom barrels, it’s hard to stabilize the heavy high bc bullets.

You can go to Berger’s bullet stability calculator and see. Compare a similar Berger bullet.

I agree, that bullet will kill anything. I have heard people like the long range accubond, can’t see how the 277 would be bad performance.

These should be fine although Nosler doesn't list a rec. Twist
The 150 gr Accubond is 1.345
The 140 gr Accubond is 1.310
The long range accubond which will stabilize with saami 1:10 is 1.390

I was really thinking about putting a carbon wrapped barrel on a tikka in 270 wsm (haven’t started it yet). Just seemed like it’d be a solid all around rifle for the hunting I do

I was running the slow twist factory Tikka with the 150 BT. It stabilized fine whereas the longer albr never stabilized for me. I'm running a 7 twist now but moved on to copper.

I know this is a bit stale but I have loaded the 150AB in a 1/8 270WSM over Reloader 19 running 3030 fps and it has been an absolute performer. My wife took this Couse at 277 yards last December. I’ve recently tried 165 ABLR over 67.5 Magpro at 3045 and have had good results just want more speed. Think it’s going to be hard to beat the tried and true AB.
