3 person tent on a budget

Looking for some feed back on a fairly good quality 3 person tent for under $500. Would be for me, wife, and 12yr old son so doesn’t have to be big enough for 3 grown men. I found a slumberjack nightfall 3 on blackovis for $180 it’s 6lb 2oz and has 40 sq ft floor area. Don’t want to buy junk but need something affordable. It would be used mainly as a spike camp a mile or two from truck/camper.

Might still be able to grab and REI half dome on sale. I have one that is plus 10 years old. Apart from resealing seams due to age, it is fine.
