Between these two Tikka T3x rifles I own with the hand loads mentioned, what would you grab first for whitetail out to 400-500 yards?

30-06 3225 FPS
6.5 Creedmoor 2870 FPS

My ballistic calculators show the 30-06 with the 130 gn TTSX about 2” less drop but the 140 grain Sierra GameChanger has about 2” less wind drift.

Both are sub MOA handloads

Two questions.

1. What is the minimum recommended velocity for each bullet for reliable expansion?

2. What is the velocity of each one at 500 yards?

I'm a 30 cal guy but 2" less wind drift is attractive Easy to dial for elevation but wind is more tricky to call.

There fixed it for ya.

To the OP.
Like others have said. I would choose the one you shoot better in field conditions.

The only thing that would be opinion is the killing part. You may be right though, the game changers are tougher than all the other sierrra hunting bullets so it might be pretty comparable to a barnes.
