I am very impressed with what it did for my 300 win mag so far. I shot this barrel for at least a year before I added the +P throat. The goal was to remove the top end pressure I was seeing just under max charge weight and allow me to run faster, but yet still in the large node a few grains below max. That velocity node has always seemed to be a wider node in my 300 win mags. It did just that. From that same 26" barrel I am running 215's at an average 3015 fps with a nice soft load of H-1000 and I am a good 2 or 3 grains below where first pressure signs appear. All still in the very same 50 pcs of ADG Brass I started this barrel with a few years back. And yes, primer pockets are great. More time with this rifle will maybe answer more questions.
Do you recall the round count prior to adding the +P throat? And how many since the modification?
Just curious.
Thanks.

I can estimate from bullets used and I know I waited to well after the barrel seasoned and did it's speed up. So I think about 300 before, and about 150 since including load work up. That is nothing for a 300 win mag run in reasonable pressure and never used for long strings of shots. Thus my last statement in that post. "More time with this rifle will maybe answer more questions." But I expect a full life from this rifle.

The genius in this thread is not going to be helped with this video because he can't even begin to comprehend physics. He has no understanding of peak vs average pressure. He is definitely not "slaying" physics.
i'm not slaying physics either, but i for sure trust lots of real world experience vs second hand rumors every single time..... even if i don't like it ;)

i think if you're slaying physics, you didn't hunt enough when you were young, haha

My first 30 Nosler +P didn't quite go as planned. It shot ok but I never really love the accuracy, so I wanted a redo and went with a longer steel barrel. The build list will change I had to borrow a chassis till my stock is done. Anyways I took her out today, I shot the same Unknown Munitions load I had for my last rifle. I was more than happy to see 3010 ish FPS on the labradar. The first group looks very promising too.

Bat Vampire Action

Do you have the muzzle threaded 5/8-24” and what is the shoulder diameter adjacent to the threaded muzzle? Specs say .700” at 26” but I know you are 4” shorter.

The rifle is on the board. 450 yards, 28 degree angle. Hit him a little high but the 215 Berger did it's magic. For those that will ask I had to walk back to my truck to get my creek crossing crocs, so I grabbed my lightweight .223. I've been lucky to shoot quite a few bears. I have been holding out for a big red bear for along time. I'm very happy it worked out with this bear!!
