Hi everyone,

I have a 70lb bowtech carbon icon, with a 28.5" draw length. Will be using it for hunting elk. Arrow length about 27.5 (although could go down to 26.5", broadhead will be closer to rest) carbon to carbon. Thoughts on best spine? Right now I've got some 340 spine, but i need to order some new ones soon and wondering whether i should go to 300?
Will be using the 50 grain brass HIT and a 100 grain qad exodus

Buy 1or 2 300s and test it out. You can order single arrow shafts off Lancaster. No one on a forum can tell you, you have to shoot it to tune it.

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately it’s been tough to find singles up here in Canada. I’ll keep looking.

I’m shooting 300’s. 70# Bowtech 29” draw 28” arrows 50gr inserts 100gr points 492gr total arrow. Everything I researched 340 or 300 would work. I picked the 300s for the added weight and increase to 125 heads if I wanted. I have some 340s that weigh 420gr that I shot for years for whitetail. I think what ever you pick will be fine.

I can easily tune my bows with 340's with 30" arrows at 32.5" draw up to about 64lbs. Once above that, it gets a little trickier. I would expect your bow to easily tune with 340's at your specs.
