I have a really stupid question. I am trying to help a buddy find a replacement stock for his 300 RUM. I am under the impression that a 300 Rum will take a different stock than say a standard long action as the mag length is so much longer. Is this correct? Honestly I'm hoping I'm wrong as this is going to be awful trying to find a Remington 700 Left hand in a RUM length. Thank you in advance!

If its a 700 then you will just need a Long action stock (nothing special). If he plans on using a detachable mag then make sure you get bottom metal cut for a 3.850 and not a 3.715. Other than that you should be good to go!
